After two successful surgeries Ukrainian Oleg Verniaiev is ready to compete at the 48th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Doha, State of Qatar (October 25th – November 3rd).

The Olympic gold medalist in Parallel Bars was sidelined for most of the year, after undergoing surgery on his knee and shoulder in Germany. The rehabilitation period was long and after seven months away from training, the 25 year old finally returned to the sport in August.

Verniaiev was nominated for a place in the Ukrainian national team for Worlds alongside Igor Radilov, Vladyslav Hryko, Vladyslav Hrynevych, Petro Pakhniuk and Maksym Vasylenko. One of the later will be the alternate.

The Ukraine women’s team  is made of Angelina Radivilova, Diana Varinska, Valerria Osipova, Yana Fedorova, Alona Titarenko and Kateryna Shumeiko.
