David Belyavskiy, Arthur Dalaloyan, Nikolai Kuksenkov, Dmtriy Lankin and Nikita Nagornyy will carry Russia’s hopes of returning on the winner’s podium of the 48th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Doha, State of Qatar (October 25th – November 3rd 2018).

The five gymnasts earned for team Russia the gold medal in the European Championships in Glasgow and according to senior coach Valentina Rodionenko there is no need to change a winning team. Vladislav Poljashov will travel to Doha as an alternate.

The Russian team participated on a three team event in Trento, Italy and comfortably took first place above host Italy and Greece. Russia hasn’t won a medal in the team event in the World Championships since 2006 in Aarhus, Denmark. The top three teams in Doha in the team event will qualify for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan ( July 24th – August 9th 2020).
