Day 2: ITF Fed Cup qualifiers

According to ITF Fed Cup, the dust may barely have settled on an enthralling weekend of Fed Cup by BNP Paribas action but now the attention will shift to Tuesday’s draw for the World Group and World Group II play-offs.

Australia, Italy, Romania and Slovakia, the four winners in World Group II, have qualified for the World Group play-offs on 21-22 April, where they will be joined by the four World Group first round losers, Belarus, Belgium, Netherlands and Switzerland.

Great Britain, Japan, Latvia and Paraguay, who all qualified from their respective Zone Group I on Saturday, will contest the World Group II play-offs on 21-22 April, where they will be joined by the four World Group II losers, Canada, Russia, Spain and Ukraine.

The draw for the World Group play-offs and World Group II play-offs will be held at the ITF offices in London on Tuesday 13 February at 10am GMT. The seeds will be based on the new Fed Cup Nations Ranking of Monday 12 February.

The Fed Cup semifinals, which also take place on 21-22 April will feature Germany at home to Czech Republic and France hosting USA.
