Spectacular Official Opening Ceremony in Marakesh: ISF 2018 Gymnasiade, Morocco

The opening ceremony of the ISF 2018 Gymnasiade, was officiated by His Highness The King Mohammed VI.

 

During the ceremony, numerous national and international Education and Sports dignitaries and delegations of all participating countries, were welcomed at the Grand Stadium of Marrakesh by Mr. Saïd Amzazi Minister of Education, Vocational training, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Laurent Petrynka  ISF President and Yousef Belqasmi General Secretary of the department of National Education.

 

Present for the ceremony were youths from diverse Marrakesh schools, bringing their support for national and international teams. Mr. Saïd Amzazi said he was honoured and proud to host an event of such a grand scale. He also deeply thanked Mr. Laurent Petrynka as well as the participating countries for their trust in his country, Morocco.

 

Mr. Laurent Petrynka, thanked His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, governmental officials, especially Mr. Saïd Amzazi for his commitment to the Gymnasiade, and Morocco for the hospitality.

 

“Morocco has held and has honored its promise to organize an exceptional edition!”, he added.

 

The 17th edition of the Gymnasiade was declared open proceeded by a moving parade of the participating teams and their respective flags, accompanied with the official mascot of gymnasiade 2018.
